BHK is a modern-day house and flats whichever easy to understand. Due to scarcity of lands and other resources in crowded places, the real-estate developer finds a way to make level houses and categories them in BHK’s like 1 BHK, 2BHK, 3 BHK, 4 BHK, 5 BHK, etc. People can buy and rent these modern era houses as per their family member’s requirements.
B = Bedroom: – Bedroom is a room of a house, mansion, castle, palace, hotel, dormitory, apartment, duplex or townhouse where people sleep. A typical western bedroom contains as bedroom furniture one or two beds (ranging from a crib for an infant, a single or twin bed for a toddler, child, teenager, or single adult to bigger sizes like a full, double, queen, king or California king (eastern or waterbed size for a couple), a clothes closet, and bedside table and dressing table, both of which usually contain drawers.
H = Hall: – The hall in a house or flat is the area just inside the front door, into which some of the other rooms open. A typical hall contains as hall furniture one or two tables, sofa set, LED TV, Fish Tank, Hall Fountain, Bean Bag.
K = Kitchen: – A kitchen is an integral part of a BHK flat. And most probably it is located near the hall because the dining is or dining table was placed in the hall. Along with that, the kitchen is in the corner of the flat because it will be easy to get water pipes for washbasin to wash the dishes and other utensils. Along with that there a suction pipe vent is required for chimney outlet and for another kind of exhaust fan.
Today’s real estate demand has segmented/categorized all apartments/flats as 1BHK, 2 BHK, 3 BHK and so on.
When anybody addresses particular apartment as 1 BHK, he/she is defining that the flat/apartment is having 1 Bedroom, 1 Hall and 1 kitchen with 1 Toilet. Hence if someone addresses 2 BHK or 3 BHK, he/ she is defining about 2 Bedrooms, 1 Hall, 1 Kitchen with 1 or 2 toilets and 3 Bedrooms, 1 Hall, 1 Kitchen with 2 or 3 toilets respectively. Some builders provide extra features with this like 1 0r 2 Balcony, Study Room, Servant Room, Store Room & Pooja Room.
